The first thing that I need to tell you is that if you are trying to make money blogging, it is always a better idea for you to buy a domain name and host the blog on your own server. That being said, many people also make money blogging by using other blog platforms, such as blogger.com. The only reason why this is considered to be inferior is because you don't have control
over the ultimate outcome of your blog. It can be switched off without you having any say in the matter. If you want to have a long-term business from your blogging efforts, make sure that you set up the blog on your own server.
Whenever you write a blog post, the first thing that you want to do is to notify people that there is something new for them to come look at. This is already set up in much of the blogging software that is available and is typically known as a ping. What this basically is, is an automatic notification that new content is available and you are going to receive the attention of these various servers and ultimately the search engines.
Even though it is a good idea to have your blog listed in the search engines, if you want to make money blogging almost instantly, you need to attract people to it instantly as well. There are several websites that are available which allow you to post snippets out of your blog which can attract a lot of attention to them. For example, digg.com can send you a flood of traffic if you write something that people are going to be interested in reading. There are several other websites that are available which offer a similar service and by being listed on them, you can get immediate traffic and the possibility to make immediate sales.
